Groesbeck Volunteer Fire Department



Groesbeck's Fire Department responds to an estimated 250 emergencies each year. The Department is responsible for fire suppression, fire prevention, fire investigation, fire hydrant maintenance, building maintenance and inspections. The department maintains six pieces of fire apparatus.  This includes two pumpers, one ladder truck, one staff car, one rescue vehicle and one brush truck.

 


Fire Prevention Tips: Protection, Planning and Practice

Approximately 80% of all United States fire deaths occur in the home. Every year fire kills approximately six thousand Americans. Ensure the safety of your family by following the 3 P's Program: Protection, Planning and Practice.


The Groesbeck Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection for the City of Groesbeck as well as the rural areas of Limestone County. Several of the more than thirty firemen have certifications as EMT-Paramedics in addition to their regular firefighting training. These dedicated people meet regularly for planning and training.
In addition they do fund-raising to meet many of the needs of the Fire Department.
