Rhonda is a native Texan, and as a child remembers many fond memories spent in Groesbeck visiting relatives before making Groesbeck home in 1970. Completing school in Waco and attending McLennan Community College in Waco; Rhonda has a long career in business and business development with an entrepreneur spirit.
In 2005 Rhonda was employed with the City of Groesbeck as Library Director of Groesbeck Maffett Public Library. She received her Librarian County Certification by the State of Texas.
Throughout the years Mrs. Bass has served on numerous committees and community projects and has been a proud and enthusiastic member of the Groesbeck community for over 43 years. She has been married to her husband Jim for 41 years; has two sons and four grandchildren. She is a woman of incredible faith and family.
Rhonda states, "Groesbeck is a rural community where you know your neighbor, raise a family, and can build a business." She also believes Groesbeck is a community that makes every effort to keep its history yet continues to look toward the future.
Groesbeck Maffett Public Library has seen momentous growth. Due to the continued economic changes, individuals and families are using the library to study, take online educational courses, learn a new language, take computer classes, as well as checking out books and materials, and all for FREE.
The Library is committed to inform, entertain, enrich, and to foster the self-learning process by facilitating access to the collections, services, and amenities to all library members of the community.
