The Groesbeck Police Department is located on Navasota street in conjunction with the Municipal Court. The Department now has an authorized strength of 7 sworn officers and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.

The department has a community-oriented policing philosophy and provides around-the-clock patrols. Key programs and services include: Animal Control, Neighborhood Watch, D.A.R.E. and 911 emergency communications.

The primary goal of the Police Department is protection of life and property, prevention of crime and apprehension of criminal perpetrators.  The Department strives to provide the best possible police service to residents to Groesbeck and to those who work, travel and shop here.
