Groesbeck Maffett Memorial Library
Groesbeck originally opened a library in June 1976 in its City Hall. Membership in the Central Texas Library System was awarded on September 1, 1977. Mr. Harold Maffett donated half a city block, and with support from the City of Groesbeck and many local citizens, the current library was opened in 1981. A renovation during 2013-14 brought us the improved library that is offering its services to the community today! Services include: a variety of books and literature, public computers and wireless access, printer, copier, laminating, scanning, and fax services, computer classes, adult education programs such as financial guidance classes, resources for public and home schooled students, family and children’s programs, databases such as TexShare, genealogical research, and more! The Library is also Texas State Library accredited, and offers a comfortable environment to research, read, and engage in our educational, fun children’s area!
The staff at the Groesbeck Maffett Memorial Library looks forward to providing patrons with services and assistance as the Library continues to evolve and adapt to community and family needs!
