Convention and Civic Center Advisory Board

Purpose:
To advise and make recommendations to the City Council on matters relating to the Convention Center.

Duties:
The Convention Center Advisory Board shall: Recommend to the Council rules for the use rules and regulations for the operation of the Convention Center. Recommend to the Council rental fees and rules for use of the facility including security deposit fees. Review and recommend to the Council any improvements to the Center, including equipment and other items. The Advisory Board shall have no power to obligate the City in any manner whatsoever.

Time Commitments:
Members must attend regularly scheduled meetings approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours in duration.

Members:
This Board is comprised of seven (7) positions, appointed by the City Council, with a minimum of one City Council member as ex officio member. At least four (4) members must be residents of City of Groesbeck. Term: Three (3) years. Positions One and Three shall be appointed at the same time, Positions Two and Four, then Positions Five, Six and Seven shall be reappointed at the same time.

Meetings:
Regular meetings as necessary or established by Committee.
